Enhancing the overall experience of your photo session involves thoughtful preparation on your part. While your photographer's skills play a significant role, your proactive approach contributes immensely to the success of your portrait session. Recognize the importance of your outfit, considering it as pivotal as hair and makeup. Even a perfectly lit image can fall flat with poor styling. Attend to details like flyaway hair or makeup inadequacies that might be accentuated by the camera. Investing in professional hair and makeup services adds a finishing touch to your overall look. Don't underestimate the impact of self-care the day before ensure you're mentally and physically prepared for your best self on the day of the session. If props are part of your portraits, assemble them in advance. Utilize platforms like Pinterest to curate inspiration, pinning elements you like and describing the nuances of lighting, setting, posture, pose, and outfit to ensure a cohesive vision for the shoot.

On the day of your shoot, punctuality is appreciated, if not arriving a bit early, to foster a calm and relaxed atmosphere. If you've scheduled hair and makeup services, allocate approximately 90 minutes for this process, with your stylist providing specific timing details. I'll arrive just before the final touches to conduct a quick camera test, ensuring everything aligns seamlessly. Once you're dressed, we'll embark on a brief overview of the shoot's unfolding, addressing any uncertainties and planning for clothing changes. Embracing the unexpected, this rundown aims to establish clarity in our collaboration. Throughout the shoot, feel free to engage in conversation; it's a collaborative effort. I'll initiate with simple directions to position you in the most flattering light and posture, guiding and directing as needed. Your input is valued, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts and ideas, making our time together truly collaborative and tailored to your vision.

As we approach the conclusion of your photoshoot, we'll conduct a thorough review of your initial plan and brief to ensure we've captured everything essential to you. Following the shoot, there is an approximate two-week timeframe for the completion of your photos. During the post-processing phase, we focus on basic color and exposure correction, meticulously curating the selection by removing any photos that may not meet the desired standards or brand alignment. This careful curation, known as proofing, is designed to streamline the viewing process for you, sparing you the challenge of sorting through an extensive array of images. Approximately a few days after your shoot, you will receive an email containing a link to the proofing gallery, accompanied by our favorite or recommended selections for your consideration. Upon receiving your chosen images, we proceed with the final touch-up process. Within 2-3 days, you will receive a link to download your photos in both high resolution and web resolution JPEG formats. Look for the download button in the gallery interface. As a precautionary measure, remember to back up your photos on another drive for safekeeping.
